Ice Cream Bananaz, the focus of our 2024 Pheno Hunt, shares its roots with Strawberry Cherry Pie and Sugarloaf Pineapple, as all three strains originate from 808 Genetics’ 2021 Strawberry Runtz menu. Despite having a parent in common, Sugarloaf Pineapple, Strawberry Cherry Pie, and Ice Cream Bananaz all yield wildly different results through the diversity of their maternal genetics. In the case of Ice Cream Bananaz, the mother strain, Ice Cream Nana, was introduced to enhance and amplify the foundation of Strawberry Runtz. It’s well worth getting to know all of the phenos in our hunt, as each is a unique expression of this cross.

Phenotype #12 of Ice Cream Bananaz is an intense fusion of exotic fruit flavors, not really taking after either parent in particular, but blazing its own trail to the subtropics. Dragonfruit, mangosteen, and pineapple evoke the beautiful Hawaiian paradise where this cross was born.
