THCV-RICH SOFT LOZENGES

Origin

We are excited to introduce THCV Rich Lemon Lime Soft Lozenges, the newest addition to our line of ratio-formulated products! The goal of our ratio-formulated line is to provide our patients with access to a line of diverse cannabinoid products that meet their specific relief and wellness needs with targeted, adjustable effects. Our THCV-Rich Soft Lozenges are unique in their formulation, because we source THCV from the in-house extraction of our own THCV-rich cultivars.

wHAT IS THCV?

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) is a lesser known cannabinoid that is starting to gain more attention for its potential appetite suppressant and energy stimulating effects. To date, THCV-forward products have not been widely available because THCV is typically found in low concentrations in many cultivars. As a result, cultivating for THCV isolate production can be costly for growers, and, consequently, the isolate may be prohibitively expensive for extract manufacturers seeking to formulate with THCV.

With this in mind, we undertook a search for cultivars that have higher concentrations of THCV. In the course of that search, we were able to find strains that, when grown at scale, allowed us to extract enough THCV for our ratio-formulated product line.

BENEFITS

Because THCV has only recently gained attention, and because cannabis studies in general face a myriad of legal and financial obstacles, studies on THCV’s effects and symptom relief are limited. However, available research has found THCV to potentially reduce appetite, increase energy, and soothe anxiety. There is also some evidence that suggests it may curb some of THC’s intoxicating effects such as verbal recall issues, making it a potential option for patients seeking a product that allows them to be more functional during the day. SYNERGISTIC EFFECTS

This THCV-rich option is being offered in combination with THC because even in trace amounts, combinations of cannabinoids can produce a more effective response for patients' symptom relief. This is commonly referred to as the “Entourage Effect.”

THCV concentration will vary by batch for this product, as it is contingent on the THCV potency of the plants used in formulation. Our initial release contains the amount listed below.
