Strawberry Jelly #50 Live Hash Rosin & Live Hash Rosin Cartridges
One of the most endearing aspects of cannabis is its ability to bring people together, regardless of limitations put on us by outdated and misinformed societal restrictions. The love of cannabis breaks down any wall. When enthusiasts engage in the cannabis community, we make beautiful connections through our love for the plant and its myriad benefits.
One of our Growers forged such a connection with a Michigan regenerative farmer/caregiver named Conner, better known in the cannabis world as TerpWizard. Given the mutual respect and trust established between these individuals over time, our team thought it would be an interesting and mutually beneficial project to grow some of TerpWizard’s genetics in a large phenotype hunt. Large pheno hunts can be challenging for some grow operations due to space, time, or canopy restrictions, and these restrictions can impede the grower’s ability to fully evaluate the diverse expressions of a strain. Seeing a wider gene pool offers a clearer view of what a specific lineage is capable of, providing both the breeder and the grower with valuable insight. Given some of TerpWizard’s restrictions, this project would allow us to explore a greater number of phenotypes and find the “best” of the bunch. To date, this was our biggest phenotype hunt at over 100 seeds!
Although there were many worthy offerings from TerpWizard’s 2020 seed menu to choose from, Strawberry Jelly chose us. We are always seeking to improve our menu and fill in gaps where we might be missing a flavor or experience, and strawberry had previously eluded us. This project started with much promise and enthusiasm, and culminated in a product that we couldn’t be happier with!
Genetic Origin
Strawberry Jelly is a cross of a Strawberry Pie mother pollinated by Grape Cream Cake f2 (both from Bloom Seed Co.). The male was selected for a few traits noticed early on, such as vigorous growth, good internodal spacing, and a stem rub that smelled exactly like its name, Grape Cream Cake. It also didn’t hurt that it was bred by one of the more well known hash breeding groups and used in many of their subsequent projects. The Strawberry Pie mother is a cross of Strawberry Banana and Grape Pie Wedding Crasher that emits a fragrance of strawberry candy with a cheesy finish and boasts high yields in ice water hash. The parents seemed like a natural fit and created offspring with a wide range of strawberry aromas, from strawberry menthol to strawberry and sour yogurt to strawberry kush.
Aroma & Effects
Our final selection delivers a healthy serving of sweet, slightly floral strawberry jam. A bit of grape can be detected as well, a sign of the strong paternal genetics. Aroma transitions elegantly to flavor with strawberry again at the forefront. A floral red berry and mildly cheesy grape jam flavor linger. Strawberry Jelly #50 offers versatile relief, with a relaxing, non-sedative, clear, and euphoric experience that makes it suitable for daytime or anytime use.
