How do I become a caregiver or add a caregiver?

You can elect to add a caregiver on the NJMCP website when registering for your NJMCP ID card or after the card has been issued. WHy doesn’t breakwater use ‘indica’ and ‘sativa’ when describing their strains?

The terms indica & sativa are no longer appropriate for describing the effects of a strain because all the strains that we grow and most of the strains available commercially are hybrids. We like to describe the effects of a strain simply by saying “Daytime”, “Nighttime”, or “Anytime” so that even someone with no cannabis experience or no experience with our strains can know what to expect from them.

WHat is the difference between MCT TInctures & Concentrate?

Breakwater is committed to providing a range of high-quality cannabis products. Among those products are Breakwater MCT Tinctures and Breakwater Concentrates. These products are designed with different purposes and uses in mind.
Breakwater MCT Tinctures are sold in a blue bottle with a squeezable dropper top. The MCT Tincture is a combination of cannabinoids and food grade MCT oil. This product has two uses, it can be applied topically to provide localized relief from conditions like irritation and pain. It can also be used as an edible product. When ingested, patients can expect a delayed effects with results similar, but not identical, to smoking cannabis. Because this product contains oil, it is not meant to be smoked or vaporized.
Breakwater Concentrates & Extracts are sold in cartridges and in plunger-top dispensers. These products are meant to be vaporized, either by attaching the cartridge to a battery or by dabbing the extract in a specialized pipe. Vaping the concentrate will produce very similar effects to smoking cannabis flower. Our concentrate products are pure cannabis extracts and as such don’t contain any acetates, MCT oil, propylene glycol, or vegetable glycerine.

WHAT IS THE BEST STRAIN FOR ME?

It’s subjective! Every patient is looking for a different effect when they use cannabis and every patient will feel different effects from cannabis. The best way to find out which strain is right for you is talk to a Budtender and try a few different strains. Once you have a little experience under your belt, we’ll be able to more accurately make recommendations and help you find the right strains and products.

Are Our cartridges safe?

When we set out to make a vapable cannabis product we committed to making the purest product that we possibly could. As such, Breakwater Concentrates don’t contain any additives whatsoever, particularly the chemical additives that have made people sick. Our concentrates contain the natural cannabinoids from our cannabis plants, the terpenes from those plants, and nothing else making them some of the safest vapable products available.

Will the same strains always be available?

Not always, but frequently. As we’ve gotten busier we’ve encountered a few instances where we run out of a particular strain but we usually are able to restock within a few weeks. We also post a strain is running out on our Daily Menu so that patients can make a trip before their favorite product is out of stock.
